Seems like you know what you're doing
All i see wrong is the lower teeth might be out of perspective and the neck muscles seem a little weird
adding darker values may help too.
My personal opinion is that just copying photos doesn't really help much, using reference/ drawing from life is essential though.
I think drawing from reference makes you spot details - and the repetition of doing this makes you get more used to digital medium, I know the same counts for traditional 2D, when you repeat, rinse and re-repeat, some good effect is bound to rub off on you.
Personally, this kind of replication, for me, is good to get to grips with colours ( and no, not colour picking, I mean mixing your own to understand it and trying to get as close to the original as possible or adding complimentary colours that make the image even more special. )
This looks cool, it's not a 1:1 copy of the original I bet, and this means you've added a twist to it making it your own,
I would say that colour wise, it looks a bit dull, almost as if there is too much white present, try working on a darker base page - even black, this will 'Carvaggio' your work lickity split. =)
Technically, you could bring out some detail in the eye's, to make the viewer look there first and keep their attention there, so my 2 cents is darker values and a focal point for the viewers eye's to rest on, maybe the eye's, or you could do the mouth it you want a surreal macabre feel to it...saliva ROCKS! =D
