Dude, nice image, but I would like to see you add some commentary, anything really - so I can understand the image, why you made it - how long it took, maybe even how it makes you feel, genuinely - because it's become a habit to post images with no way for the viewer to respond other than give a vote and move on...

for instance, what's in the background? =) is it abstract or a pattern, is something hidden there?

Thanks man, I appreciate the comments:) The reason I stopped adding comments to the sketches is because they are always basically the same with me, ie "1-2 hour pen and ink/photoshop."

Since you asked, this image began as four inch pen and ink sketch that I scanned and colored in photoshop. I lassoed the foreground tower to get a separate look for the bg and the fg.

The background isn't totally abstract but it isn't anything in particular either. I was having some fun drawing gearworks and scythes and what not, I was trying to think what a black hole on earth would look like and I figured there'd be a lot a crazy stuff going on!

Now, that's totally awesome, just seeing your thoughts and the process makes it WIN! =D HIGHFIVE!

Thanks for the info man, especially the part about gear works and scythes!

I wanted to do the classic earth in space being torn apart by a black hole thing, but, I got held up with a new pc game, hehe, so I fail on that one.. =/
