..you know, depending on whichever method you use to draw and color,
you could go with a loose sketch first and then polish the image afterward,
or roughly block out entire pieces of the image and carve your final result from that..
go to the forum section, there's a post called 'improve yourself', have a look at the links.
I find it MUCH better to first block out everything with a single color (under the outline that is),
then fill the focal point(s) with detail,
and then slap some paint around it.
