This is cool. Really cool textures on the benches, road and dog. I'm tempted to bid $300 just so you can go out and finally buy yourself a freakin' graphics tablet.

BUY ONE!

I agree, the only thing keeping Andrew back is the lack of the tablet..

$300 bucks! Is that how much those things cost? I bought a wacom for my son 3 years ago for $80 for his bday. Have they gone up?

I'm telling you guys, buy them used. Worst case scenario, you need a new pen. The tablets themselves are essentially indestructible. They haven't changed much in 15 years. Mine is a huge 12x12 from 1994, it only cost me 25 bucks.

Just search craigslist. Really.

Andrew, I like this one. It looks like a photo of a pop-up book.

Cool, the oldman and dog look as though they were real paperdolls posed against a flat background. Very nice sense of depth. :)

Thanks men.
I think it's yours Chabs! :)

Think floating colorforms. It's easy and cheesy, but I like the plastic space.
Creating space with line form, color, hue, and perspective is real, this is an experiment and plastic, fun though huh?

Also, what you guys are digging is a trick with photoshop and using layers and a drop shadow on the layer.
I love playing with shadows and illusionary space, but the magic here is brought to you by CS2.

Nice job Andrew!

Hmmm...a tablet, is getting a tablet worth it? I've always wondered if I should go out and get one, because drawing from the hand and then transtitioning to the wrist (for the sake of the mouse) has been difficult.

" Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. " - LOTR

My wife reads them like every year, so when they made the movies she was pretty psyched.
We never go out to the movies though, we waited until they got to video!

I think my tablet was about $300 Australian. They're kinda hard to find here. Maybe they're cheaper there. You've got drive-thru tablet shops in America for all I know.
