Ben - I'm glad you like it. I always debate about whether or not to go thick on the outline or not, but I usually like the results when I do. Honestly though I always admire thinner lines in others drawings.

Andrew - Much obliged, folksy is what I was going for. I'm pretty pleased with how this character came myself.

And snips, to answer your question this was purely recreational. Although I have been bandying about some ideas for some kind of steampunk comic, so I guess this is sort of subconscious concept art.
