HEY, thanks man, this is a bit out of my experience and was a challenge, kinda like most of the posts here.
Do you find the topics challenging? This stuff is work for me.... ;)
I' happy with the rocks in the foreground.
I did that with the exposure settings after having worked the texture.
Late for you huh? You've put alot of good stuff up recently!
Did you watch all of Saving Private Ryan YET? GREAT movie....
Challenging? Yes, becuase my heart tells me not to submit half assed pictures and my head says "post the damned thing!"
It's fun when topics are of things I like or that give me random inspiration, but If I let it hang for more than a few hours, I need to redraw the image to be inspired again, even if I'm at the colouring/rendering stage already. Challenges are good, and it humbles me when someone actually gives me a low vote or gives me shit about arb detail, becuase I DO make mistakes and I'm NOT the best, I see no reason to vote otherwise, it's true that as an artist, even if you dabble, your only as good as your last related work, so If I had to post another image in the league as Data, an attempt at photo-realism, something I worked on for 14 hours plus, then it would undoubtedly have to be either on-par or better.
I did watch that movie, a long time ago, when it was released, I recently rented it again to enjoy it, if you can call it that, I revelled the first time when I saw the landing at omaha beach, I was younger, but now, after studying WW2 and seeing a bit more History channel than is healthy, It gave me goosebumps..It's a great film, it's scary too, thinking that time in history is long gone but the effects and the lives lost are still real. The worst if not the most brilliant part of the film was when the American boy was in the room near the end of the film, he heard the German come up the stairs, shot through the wall, heard one body fall, and then the knife fight started, the part where they look into each others eyes and the knife starts piercing the guy is something I can never forget..
