Frankly, I envisioned what I was going to do 10 hours before I touched the mouse.
(Rat not mouse for tonight!)

Whoa! Andrew, taking it to the next level my man!
I like this a lot Dude, Keep it up!!! =)

I like your texture and colour choice, it makes it look very grimy/dirty!
the fur and shading is great too!

all in all, damn, this is more than a 10, you've done exceptionally well with only a mouse!
I want to see what your capable of with a tablet!! =D

********** < read 'em and weep, solid 10!

Ehem, thanks Helix and Jeesaibell, damn that spelling. It's Jes OK?
You guys are big on the Wacoms, I'm slow to change, and slow to spend a few bucks.
What's the big deal about tablets anyways?

I love the Cheese in this too, and I HATE cheese!
I tried making this one like you say, gritty and yicky, so for me putting nice looking cheese was a natural! To me cheese is like eating solidified puke! < smiles >

I typically draw with a pencil or pen, and then scan it in if I want to make it digital. When trying to create something from scratch on the computer a mouse is very hard for me. I am actually fairly new to Tablets, and still getting the hang of them but it is easier for me to sketch with a tablet because it's more familiar. (Wacom is a brand)

I use the little red button on my IBM laptop, it's like a little joy stick and so long as it's not acting up and drifting on it's own, it's great for me. Over time I've gotten so familiar with using them it's almost mind over matter, willing the pointer with such minimal movements. It's wierd trying to make expressive line without moving even the wrist! If I got a tablet I wouldn't stop drawing, I've got a very add dd ddic tive personality. Getting a Wacom would be like entering a new obcession, I'll have to save that carrot for another time and space. Like when I have an extra 50 bucks... You know what I used to use alot? A little program called Scribble.exe, it's like a 50KB executable that turns your PC into a real basic drawing tool, the mouse become very easy to use as opposed to other more complicated atmospheres. But as soon as you touch a key it dissappears, no printing ability. It's great for just doodling around.

www.wacom.com

peruse at your own pace dear sir. =)

Uhm, yeah, a mouse is too unwieldy when it comes to drawing, it's linear.
It's a good investment becuase it saves you art supplies, and paint is damned expensive!!

Like Jes said, Pencil/fine liner and some paper is great too, but nothing beats unhampered Ctrl+Z creativity! =)

not to mention working with layers, having all the colors in the world, a lot of time saving tools and pen pressure.
