First of all: Guys, I need your help, I would like to know what you think of this, genuinely. it's a crop from a larger image I've been doing since this morning, (explaining my absence from DSG's pages.).
I need to know, what do you feel when you see this, what's wrong with it, how could it be better and last but not least, should I go all out realism or cartoon style?
Story behind the scenes:
Two soldiers/ Atlantis guards have been transported to another dimension, the same wave of inexplicable power that made their civilization vanish, has also flung them into a world filled with vicious and wonderful creatures, their aim is to find civilization, but first they must traverse the jungles of this strange humid world.
The male soldier is a psychopath that'll shoot anything that moves. as you can see... -_-
and the female soldier is a..
well, she's pretty sexy.

anyway.
I do these little stories so my character have more life to them, it also helps me with poses and facial expressions.
I like it! I say go for realism. Only comment I have is that the male soldier's feet seem too close together. He doesn't look well balanced for the action he's performing.
