It's just a chance opportunity I took, thanks for the complements guys.

the topic closes tonight at midnight EST, the timer shows the time left now.

and sure, you can enter as many times as you like. for any topic.

normal topics, you can post late no problem.

I like the composition, and the weird color. Specially the little blue between the blast and the beach, like you can see the purple blast hitting the shore and the people. The shadows of the people tell the strong light. I like that detail, it's a little thing that tells so much. It makes them connect with the blast, without it they would just be observing it.

In my mind, I could only imagine a father with his two children, on the beach, their innocence in the matter outlining how any of us could succumb to something so horrible yet beautiful...The high contrast of the lighting and the shadows being the snapshot of their last moments before the heat wave would reach them.
