i like the crosshatching. you also do very accurate shadows. you seem to have a good eye for shading, ever try charcoal pencils?

really? I have always considered shading to be one of my weak points...
I should give em a try i guess.

then you'll love charcoal, it does exactly what you want it to do, and nice and dark. the only downside is that it's crazy messy and unerasable.
