So I've just recently discovered this worklow.

the "problem" is that it feels too easy, it feels like cheating...

So do any of you use this work flow/ a similar one, and how does it affect your pieces?
I'm asking this because I feel that there's gotta be a downside to this...

the flow is very linear - but it's definitely not cheating, it's easy, and you should be glad, anything that cuts down on the hard work and ups the awesome is great when you have deadlines and clients that don't understand the artistic processes behind your work. ^_^

I really think this is a good way of character conception speedily, it doesn't look awesome, it's just good for speed.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as a shortcut. As long as you're still challenging yourself. Anything that lets you make better art faster is a good thing.

I'll definitely try that technique. What page is that from? I'm a big fan of one of his tutorials, I didn't know he had more than one.
