That's sometime I've been wanting to do for a while, but not necessarily me doing it.

I'd do a brush settings tutorial. I'd love to see a Helix grayscale portrait tutorial. 5-10 images + text.

If they're good, I'll put them right on the front page. Let me know if you're interested.

I think tutorials will add a lot of value to the site. I have been thinking for a while how this DSG could be better than any other, and tutorials will add a big value. You see it in the links we send eachother in the comments.

Your right Cyclops, =)
DSG is special and the more people that join, the better!

But it is a duanting thing writing a tuorial.
especially when others are going to try it and if their not satisfied,
there will be hell to pay!! =O ;D

I've seen people scream bloody murder on sites where tutorials are badly written or are just down right impossible to follow becuase of the artist over elaborated, so it's a fine line to walk on and get right...hehe..but, if you get it right, site traffic might just jump 200 fold! =D

HSB for life!

hmmm tutorials do help.. but there are sooo many out there already... (not that it will hurt to have another one)
i just think that its less of a hassle to have a thread linking to tutorials
than actually writing one.

just saying.

With tutorials up this site will see a lot of traffic. I know I for one am always searching for new ones. Oh the pressure! The whole internet will be watching!

Anyways, I played around with the colors thing a bit. Thanks for all the inputs. Here's the result of my 'experimentations'. The top left is how I usually do color, and it always came out flat and boring. I think I'm onto something here. What do you guys think?

Wow Rubbin, that really does make a difference. I might try incorporating something along those lines into the next sketch prompt.

yes, that's an improvement. I believe there should be a bit of a highlight on the inside of the bowl, on the right side. I actually think the lighting is better on the first bowl. I want to encourage you to be a bit more bold with the warm and cool you put on the bowls in the bottom row. I had to look to see the difference.

Hmm, copying the pot works ofcourse, drawing them individually with a cooler or warmer palette will be a good way to get improve you color mastery.
