This year 24 Hour Comic Day is on October 18th. Thats less than two weeks, folks. So is anybody else as excited as I am?

For those of you that aren't familiar, a 24 hour comic is a full 24 page comic book that is done entirely within the space of 24 hours. It's kind of like a triathlon for cartoonists. I was thinking that if anybody else is planning on doing one we could get a dsg event going to mark the occasion. Maybe start a group blog or something. Any thoughts?

Yes I am exicited! I would have really wanted to be in but I'm gone for the weekend. There's even a book written by Scott McCloud on this event. If you are interested in comics I recommend you read his books.

Sounds interesting. I'd like to do it, but my comics take 2 hours each already.

Maybe I'll do something new, I don't do Daisy Owl updates on Saturdays anyways.

What about a three subject story, like, Idunno:
Friday, part one: Assasin getting ready to ambush.
Saturday, part two: Aristocratic carriage arrives around the corner.
Sunday, part three: Assassin jumps but fails.

or:
1 Dragons attacking a Dwarvish laboratory.
2 Laboratory burns and Dwarves run out with hyper-destructo-weapon.
3 Dwarves kill the themseves. Oops!

or something like that

I like that idea too. This Sunday is going to be another comp, I've decided to do it biweekly from now on. So maybe we'll do it during the week?

Also, I'm almost done on the new version of the site. It will be live in a day or two.

I'm very in on this, except i wanna keep mine as nice as i can can personaly muster so i may do only 12, which wold normaly take me about 2.5 weeks or more

Today is the day! I'm starting at midnight EST, so I am going to spend all day saturday working on my 24 hours comic.

i sorta did it last weekend, i did 3 pages in a day...

unfortunately i have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow and I'm not gonna be able to pull it off
